Wedded Bliss...

Two years ago today hubby and I said "I do" and embarked on this crazy journey called marriage. We've certainly had some ups and downs, but it is safe to say that I am more in love with this man than I was two years ago - and that is  success in my book!

Our wedding day was beyond perfect, so I thought I would share photos from our special day with y'all, as well as my favorite tips and tricks for hosting a gorgeous, budget friendly, wedding!

We got married at the beautiful Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove, California. We chose to get married on Sunday morning, which is far less expensive than a Friday or Saturday evening.

My dress was from Alfred Angelo.  When I went to try on dresses the sales woman told me that she had a few samples from a couple years prior. I tried this dress on and fell in love with it. I was head over heels for it when she told me it was on sale for $99.99.

My hair clip was from Etsy and my mom made my veil! (Veils are ridiculously expensive so I was grateful my momma was able to cut some tulle and attach it to my super sparkly hair clip!)

My flowers are... (brace yourself)... FAKE! I was dead set on peonies, but didn't want to pay their expensive price tag! My mom and I had a DIY afternoon and made all of the bouquets. We ordered the silk floral blooms from AFloral. I love that I still get to enjoy my wedding bouquet; it is in a vase in my office!

My mom is uber talented - she hand beaded the top of my dress for some added bling!

Mother daughter photo time!

I loved my wedding dress! I felt like a princess!

How gorgeous is the front of the Grand Island Mansion!

Me and my girls! Such a fun time with friends and family! The Bridesmaid dresses are also Alfred Angelo. Kir is standing right next to me! I let the girls where whatever silver shoes they wanted. I made them each pearl drop necklaces and gave them to them as their gifts.

How handsome is my hubby! His boutonniere is also faux - another DIY from AFloral! His tie is from the Tie Bar.

We gave the groomsmen ties from the Tie Bar as well. Their Gerber daisy boutonnieres came out to under $2 a piece!

Special moment with my dad right before the ceremony!

We're married!

The gangs all here!

For favors, Hubby and I made seed bombs for our guests to take home and plant! We included a little tag that said "Let Love Bloom!"

I searched everywhere for a vintage bride and groom salt and pepper set to top our cake. I finally found one on Etsy.

Our first dance was to Train's "Marry Me."

I hope you enjoyed looking at my wedding photos as much as I did! It really was the most beautiful day!

XOXO
Meg
