101 in 1001 Update...

Do y'all remember when I decided to take the 101 in 1001 challenge? You can see my entire list here

The challenge is to complete 101 things in 1001 days! My list consists of goals for travel, career, fitness, relationship, making memories, trying new things, and spending time on "me."

I started the challenge on January 1, 2016 and am happy to report that I was able to complete 14 of the items in their entirety. I am also in the midst of quite a few of the items.

Here are some of the highlights...

-- Travel --

In 2016, Hubby and I travelled to Aruba, Illinois, and Jamaica -- three places I had never been before.

We went to Aruba for my 29th birthday!

We went to Chicago for Hubby's 32nd birthday!

We went to Jamaica for Thanksgiving.

I also sent post cards to family from Chicago! (Crossed #4 off of my list!)

-- Fitness, Health, and Nutrition --

My Dad and I ran a 5k together! (Crossed off #21)

When my parents came to visit last summer, I booked a private ballroom dance lesson for the four of us. It was so much fun and, surprisingly, a good workout. (Crossed #36 off)

-- Friends and Family --

I co-hosted a baby shower for my sister-in-law! (Crossed off #15)

-- Reading Culture and Learning --

I love museums! We visited the San Antonio Children's Museum when Kir, her Hubby, and Baby H came to visit! If you live in San Antonio (or are visiting) and have a little one -- I highly recommend this museum!

While we were in Chicago we visited the Museum of Contemporary Art, which I loved and Hubby hated!

We also saw Duran Duran in concert which was pretty darn amazing. (Crossed off #43)

-- Making Memories --

We started a new tradition -- Elf on the Shelf! I had so much fun coming up with "activities" for Fred, our elf, to do everyday! I've always loved the idea of Elf on the Shelf and didn't want to wait until we have kids to partake in all the fun! (Crossed off #72)

I am looking forward to checking off more items in 2017!
