Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - Part 2

Hey y'all! I hope your first weekend of summer was more exciting than mine! I'm spending every moment either studying or working... this weekend I have to take a practice 200 question multiple choice test to make sure I'm on the right track with my studying. When I pass the CA bar I am treating myself to something special, for sure!

I thought I would share a few more photos from my trip to Hilton Head Island at the beginning of the month.

One night we decided to check out the Salty Dog Cafe! I would have loved to have dined al fresco and enjoyed the live music, but the wait was about an hour and I was on the verge of eating Hubby's ear. We ate inside instead and munched on shrimp, scallops, and flounder. Delish!

After dinner we ventured next door to Salty Dog Ice Cream and indulged!

Such fun memories!

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina Part 1

Last week Hubby and I traveled to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina to celebrate Hubby's 30th Birthday!

We booked the trip before we decided to take the California bar (you can read about that decision here) so we ended up having to do a lot of studying while we were there.

Nonetheless, the trip was a perfect little break from the office and we had a fabulous time!

We flew into Charleston, SC around 11 PM and drove the two and a half hours to Hilton Head Island. We rented an adorable one bedroom condo in the Sea Pines Resort. When we arrived we went straight to bed and had no idea where our condo was located in proximity to the water, golf courses, etc.

We were so excited to wake up and find this view right off our back patio....

When we weren't studying, we enjoyed walking on the pier...

Hunting for alligators...

and enjoying the sand between our toes!

South Carolina was absolutely gorgeous! Everything was so green and lush! The Atlantic Ocean was far warmer than I imagined and the sand was soft, like powder.

Even though much our trip was spent in doors, noses to the books, it was still an amazing opportunity to travel to a part of the country that I had never been to before.

More photos to come...

XOXO
