#OptOutside on Black Friday

On Black Friday we decided to ditch the malls and head outside for some family fun at Columbia State Historic Park. I was excited when I heard that REI was closing its doors on Black Friday and encouraging everyone to hit the trails with its #OptOutside campaign.

We had a great time exploring Columbia, an historic California Gold Rush mining town. The weather was crisp and cool and the little town was already in the Christmas spirit, with store fronts adorned with garland and red bows.

We ate lunch at an old-fashioned saloon and explored the town with hot chocolate in hand. It was a great way to spend the day as a family!

XOXO

PS: How cute is Hailey's hat!?! She looked like a little polar bear cub!
