St. Patrick's Day Printables

St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner! March 17th to be exact! I love the color green, so any extra excuse to wear a shade of emerald is alright with me!

Ever since hubby and I moved into our new house, I've discovered the wonderful world of free pdf printable subway art on-line! These lovely little creations are the perfect way to add a little festive flair to your home. Print out an 8 x 10, pop it into a frame, and voila -- instant holiday decor!

I've rounded up thirteen lucky pdf printables to decorate with this St. Patrick's day! Click on the link to go to the artist's website for a free download!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, y'all!

I hope everyone is having a splendid day, filled with all things pink, red, and chocolatey!

Anyone have extra special plans today?

My hubby hates Valentine's Day, so I'm taking myself shopping this afternoon to make up for his lack of enthusiasm! ;)

Heart Attack

Whether you love the holiday, or you hate it with a passion, Valentine's Day is right around the corner. We're a little over a month away people y'all!

I happen to think it is an amazing holiday -- not because my Hubby sends me flowers or leaves a big box of chocolates on my desk -- but because everything is pink and red and glitter hearts! (Although, come to think of it, I do like flowers and chocolates!)

Here are some fabulous products that will make any Valentine hater out there think twice!

All That Glitters is Gold...

Sorry (again) for the hiatus!

I was out in California last week visiting my family and hosting Kir's baby shower! Pictures to come, very soon! And then this week I was playing catch up in the office. Such is the life of an adult!

Anyway...

My brother-in-law and future sister-in-law are getting married in a little over a month. Hubby is the best man and I am so excited to be a bridesmaid!

All of the bridesmaids are wearing a gold, floor length gown of her choice.

My bridesmaid dress came in the mail this week. And....

IT IS NOT WHAT THE PICTURE LOOKED LIKE!

So yesterday I was scrambling like a mad woman, trying to find another gold, floor length dress!

I managed to find a gorgeous dress, and I think I will actually (hopefully) be able to wear it again! And the price can't be beat!

In my mad dash I found a variety of gold dresses, perfect for the holidays! Enjoy!

And because every gal should have a pair of sequined leggings, right?

I'll let y'all know how the new dress looks when it comes in the mail! Fingers crossed that it will work!

XOXO

Thankfulness

It’s finally Thanksgiving Week! I am so, so, so, so excited! Hubby and I leave tomorrow morning to visit my family in California! And I am so ecstatic to see Kir! It has been way too long! I wanted to start off this week by listing the top 10 things I am thankful for.

10.       Passing the Texas Bar Exam – so thankful for the opportunity to be a lawyer and even  more grateful for the fact that women’s rights have come so far in this country to allow me to pursue a career that used to be dominated by men.

9.         The ability to travel to visit family and friends and see new places – so grateful I get to see my family and super excited to travel to exotic lands over New Years (more details coming soon)!!

8.         Fresh fruits and veggies, access to food and clean water – luxuries I don’t even really  think about.

7.         My little apartment – hubby and I are so lucky to live where we do and pay the rent that   we do.

6.         Hot running water, indoor plumbing, and electricity – ya know, all the little things I take for granted everyday!

5.         My health – so thankful that I am healthy and can do all of the things I want to do.

4.         My sister – even though we fight I always know she’s got my back!

3.         My Mom and Dad – so thankful that they raised me to be strong and independent and grateful for their endless love and support.

2.         My Hubby – so thankful for all of his love, support, compassion, sweetness, and sense of humor.

1.         God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit – and so thankful I live in a country where I can worship  freely!

What are y’all thankful for this year?
