Can you believe it is the last day of July? This summer is going by way too fast. This year is going by way too fast. Slow down!

I can't even believe 2015 is more than half way over. I might as well start decorating for Christmas now....

This weekend I am hoping to make some "me" time and get myself to yoga and the nail salon -- I'm in dire need of a manicure!

Cooling Off This Summer

Although I don't live in Texas like Meg...it still gets pretty hot here (at least for this Cali girl), especially when we don't have an AC in our apartment. Here are some great ideas to keep you cool and get you out of the house this summer. 

You and your little one will love getting out of the house and exploring the city!

1. Visit your local library!
    -a lot of the time libraries have classes or story time for your little ones plus they have AC!!!

2. Cruise a farmers market!
   -around the bay area at least they have weekday farmers markets. These are perfect if you need a quick outing and usually happen in the mornings while its still somewhat cool outside. (plus they have samples!!!)

3. Check out a Museum
  -they occasionally have free days so feel free to splurge on ice cream afterwards as a treat!

4. Pack a Picnic and head to the park
  -parks are fun enough but add in food and


wow! Doesn't even have to be lunch...can just be a morning snack (or blended iced coffee)

  *Hailey loves going to the park and swinging. She also just loves to get out the house and play around on a blanket in the grass!

5. Go to a concert
  -I know in Santa Clara and some of the other cities around us have great concerts in the park...and they're free!

P.S. If you have a pool that is always a great option! Hailey loves to go swimming!!

Lilly Pulitzer for Target

I adore the Lilly Pulitzer brand. Unfortunately, my wallet doesn't agree with some (okay most) of the price tags. So, in all honesty, I don't actually own any Lilly. 

But -- I'm hoping that is all about to change! On April 19th, the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collaboration hits Target stores and Target.com! The prices are very affordable and the fashion and lifestyle pieces are adorable! That's a win-win in my book!

It's Sunny Somewhere... (Right?)

It has been so cold in San Antonio lately. I'm talking chilled to the bone, in need of a hot cup of tea, wrapped in a blanket, cold!

While the temperatures on the east coast and up north are incredibly chillier than where I'm at, I think most of the US is experiencing a cold front right about now -- except my friends in California. Enjoy the sunshine for me, y'all!

At some point the temps have to increase. Right? And it will be bathing suit season before we know it!

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina - Part 2

Hey y'all! I hope your first weekend of summer was more exciting than mine! I'm spending every moment either studying or working... this weekend I have to take a practice 200 question multiple choice test to make sure I'm on the right track with my studying. When I pass the CA bar I am treating myself to something special, for sure! 

I thought I would share a few more photos from my trip to Hilton Head Island at the beginning of the month.

One night we decided to check out the Salty Dog Cafe! I would have loved to have dined al fresco and enjoyed the live music, but the wait was about an hour and I was on the verge of eating Hubby's ear. We ate inside instead and munched on shrimp, scallops, and flounder. Delish!

After dinner we ventured next door to Salty Dog Ice Cream and indulged!

Such fun memories!

Super Fabulous One Piece Bathing Suits

I am totally dreaming of a beach vacation! After posting "What's in your Beach Bag?" a few days ago I found myself surfing the web for a cute new bathing suit.
